Who I am

Hello, I’m Grace

I’m really glad you’ve found your way here. Whether you’re considering therapy for the first time or returning after a break, I hope this page gives you a sense of who I am and how I work.

Why I Do This Work

I came to therapy because I am fascinated by the ways people adapt and make sense of their experiences. Over time my belief is that these adaptations can become patterns that may have once protected us, but no longer serve us. Therapy offers an opportunity to understand these patterns with curiosity and compassion, to create space for meaningful change. That’s what I hope to offer you.

How I Work

My work is grounded in the belief that many of our difficulties make sense when we understand the experiences and relationships that shaped us.

Together we can explore recurring patterns in your thoughts, emotions and relationships. The aim of this is to help you make sense of what may be keeping you stuck. Alongside developing practical ways of coping, therapy can also offer an opportunity to understand yourself more deeply and create lasting change.

I aim to offer a relationship that is thoughtful and collaborative, where you can explore things at a pace that feels right for you.

The People I Work Best With

Many of the people who come to therapy with me may have already spent a lot of time thinking about themselves and their experiences. They may understand where some of their difficulties come from, yet still find themselves repeating the same things.

They often tell me they feel:

  • stuck in familiar cycles

  • overly responsible

  • disconnected from their own needs

  • lost and alone

  • curious about themselves but unsure where to begin

If any of these feel familiar, therapy with me can provide a space to explore these patterns in greater depth and develop a different way of relating to yourself and those around you.

A Welcoming Space for Everyone

I am an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist and welcome clients of all sexual orientations and gender identities. I also welcome clients of all backgrounds, abilities, neurotypes and lived experiences. If you have any access needs or questions about how I can accommodate you (whether for face-to-face or online sessions) please don’t hesitate to ask me!

My Training and Qualifications

My training is grounded in Integrative Transactional Analysis (TA). TA is an approach that helps us understand how our early experiences, relationships and patterns of communication can continue to influence us in the present. By exploring these patterns together, therapy can help create greater awareness, choice and most importantly, change.

I hold a First Class Honours Degree in Psychology and I am currently in advanced clinical training as a UKCP trainee psychotherapist. This means I work under regular clinical supervision in line with professional and ethical standards. I am fully insured and a trainee member of UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy), UKATA (UK Association for Transactional Analysis) and the Manchester Institute for Psychotherapy.
